IMO, a therapist who draws such strict boundaries with a dissociative client doesn’t really “get” what’s going on. There are a lot of therapy clients, and DID clients in particular, who communicate via email for that very reason. You’re well within your rights as a client to ask for that as a communication option from her, particularly when the subject matter feels threatening.
